AOST focuses on the influence of cholesterol on cardiovascular risk. The application allows a physician - to calculate the cardiovascular risk of his patient (SCORE) - to motivate his patient to treat to LDL target by demonstrating the effect of lowering cholesterol on cardiovascular risk - to optimize the treatment of a patient by predicting the theoretical LDL-decrease of different therapeutic approaches.
